H-1B Visa Program

H-1B Visa Program Hurts American Worker's

The H-1B Visa Program was passed into law in 1998 under the Clinton Administration. It allows non-Americans to obtain a visa to work in American specialty fields. Generally, they are jobs in finance, architecture, science, medicine, IT, engineering, and accounting,

Technology is now and will be more in the future, the cornerstone of the U.S. economy. Today's businesses rely precipitously more on technology to grow their businesses and they seek foreign workers over American worker due to the H-1B.

The H-1B Visa Program is sought by many to hire the outsiders for less pay. Each year, 65,000 H-1B visas are issued to foreigners. Another 20,000 can be issued for foreigners that have been educated in America.

Does America Need H-1B Visa Workers?

Supporters claim that H-1B Visa Program workers are necessary because they take jobs that Americans don't want or they are unable to do these jobs. So, one can only assume that they are saying there aren't enough Americans to fill 85,000 jobs – ludicrous

Since this was created by Bill Clinton and enhanced by Obama, there must be a reason Democrats approve of the H-1B so much. It’s the same reason they want illegal immigrants to flow in – to add more voters. The H-1B Visa Program is simply a mask to get more people here because they will vote someday, and they will vote for the party that let them in.

President Obama signed an Executive Order that expanded the program in the dark of night just days before his term was up. This was designed not only to bring the aforementioned more voters here, but it also served a poke in the eye of incoming President Trump.

Does H-1B Visas Steal American Jobs

Employers who hire H-1B Visa Program workers are supposed to pay them at the same rate as an American employee with the same job. Howeverthey are practically on the 'honor system' while no one is watching.

Walt Disney made headlines when they took part in the H-1B. They fired 250 American IT workers and replaced them with lesser paid foreign workers. To get around the equal pay spirit, they can rename the position or simply create a new department where there would be no precedence for pay rate.

What makes this pending case even worse, Walt Disney had the 250 Americans train the new foreign workers before they were fired. Disney has been sued by at least 30 of the 250 and the charges include racism. The new workers were all from India.

What Will Trump Do With H-1B Visas

This is going on all over the country, everywhere. Facebook, Twitter, Google, and most of the high-tech industries are begging for more cheap labor. So, what will President Donald Trump do about the abused H-1B visa?

At first, during his campaign, he stated that he "was committed to eliminating rampant, widespread abuse." He has softened his position somewhat because there are cases where there aren't enough Americans.

"So, we do need highly skilled, and one of the biggest problems we have is people go to the best colleges. They’ll go to Harvard, they’ll go to Stanford, they’ll go to Wharton, as soon as they’re finished they’ll get shoved out." - President Trump.

With 95 million Americans unemployed today, the H-1B Visa Program must be harnessed. Trump posted the following on his website.

Requirement to hire American workers first. Too many visas, like the H-1B, have no such requirement. In the year 2015, with 92 million Americans outside the workforce and incomes collapsing, we need companies to hire from the domestic pool of unemployed. Petitions for workers should be mailed to the unemployment office, not USCIS.

America first to make America great again.
